Volunteers Needed for May 17 Election!

May 5, 2011 May 5, 2011

To All ACS Members:

The LA City Clerk has asked for our help to provide communications support for the upcoming runoff election on May 17, 2011. If you are available, send an email to Ted at: division1@lafdacs.org.

Operations will be similar to the 1st election; we will likely place ACS operators at all of the helipads (5 of them), support communications to the election officials downtown and we will act as the eyes and ears for the safety of all of the election workers and LAFD helicopter flight crews. We will need you from from 6:30 pm through 11:30 pm. Helipads were located at Goodyear/Carson, West LA Veterans' Hospital, Fire Station 88, Whiteman Airfield/Sylmar, & Piper Tech/Downtown.

Thanks you for volunteering!

Sol Bash, W6DNZ
Division 3 Communication Unit Leader
